- حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَحَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ
One repeats what the caller to prayer says, except when he says: Come to prayer, come to success, then one says: There is no might nor power except with Allah.
- وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبَّاً، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولاً، وَبِالْإِسْلاَمِ دِينَاً يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ عَقِبَ تَشَهُّدِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ
He says: And I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, without any partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger. I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Muhammad as my Messenger, and with Islam as my religion. (He says this after the mu'adhdhin’s testimony of faith.)
- يُصَلِّي عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعْدَ فَرَاغِهِ مِنْ إِجَابَةِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ
He invokes blessings upon the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) after finishing responding to the caller to prayer.
- اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ، وَالصَّلاَةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، آتِ مُحَمَّداً الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ، وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامَاً مَحمُوداً الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ، (إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ)
He says: O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and established prayer, grant Muhammad the Wasilah and virtue, and raise him to the praised station which You have promised him, [indeed, You do not fail in Your promise].
- يَدْعُو لِنَفسِهِ بَيْنَ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ فَإِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ حِينَئِذٍ لاَ يُرَدُّ
He should supplicate for himself between the Adhan and the Iqamah, for indeed, supplication at that time is not rejected.
