Ar-Razzaq — Meaning of Allah's Name

Meaning

The Provider, who gives sustenance to all creatures.

In the Quran

  1. 58إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلۡقُوَّةِ ٱلۡمَتِينُ

    Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength.

Surah Adh-Dhaariyat · 51:58

Allah says: “And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them” (Quran 7:180).

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Allah has ninety-nine names, one hundred less one; whoever enumerates them will enter Paradise” (Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim). This does not mean His names are limited to ninety-nine.
