Meaning

The Patient, who does not hasten to punish.

  1. 153يَـٰۤأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱسۡتَعِينُواْ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

    O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.

Surah Al-Baqara · 2:153

Allah says: “And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them” (Quran 7:180).

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Allah has ninety-nine names, one hundred less one; whoever enumerates them will enter Paradise” (Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim). This does not mean His names are limited to ninety-nine.
