Surah Al-Asr (“The Declining Day, Epoch”) is chapter 103 of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah of 3 verses that begins in Juz 30 on page 601 of the Madinah Mushaf. Below is the full Arabic text with the Saheeh International English translation.
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
- 1وَٱلۡعَصۡرِ
By time,
- 2إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ لَفِی خُسۡرٍ
Indeed, mankind is in loss,
- 3إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ
Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
