Surah Ash-Sharh (“The Consolation”) is chapter 94 of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah of 8 verses that begins in Juz 30 on page 596 of the Madinah Mushaf. Below is the full Arabic text with the Saheeh International English translation.
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
- 1أَلَمۡ نَشۡرَحۡ لَكَ صَدۡرَكَ
Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast?
- 2وَوَضَعۡنَا عَنكَ وِزۡرَكَ
And We removed from you your burden
- 3ٱلَّذِیۤ أَنقَضَ ظَهۡرَكَ
Which had weighed upon your back
- 4وَرَفَعۡنَا لَكَ ذِكۡرَكَ
And raised high for you your repute.
- 5فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا
For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
- 6إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرࣰا
Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
- 7فَإِذَا فَرَغۡتَ فَٱنصَبۡ
So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].
- 8وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرۡغَب
And to your Lord direct [your] longing.
